Mine has about 90k now. Needs a new midgate window regulator but I have 2 car seats in there anyway so no big deal. Could use a new muffler an just replaced the front hubs yesterday. All in all not too bad. I am thinking of selling it soon though. Need something with more passenger capacity...

113,000 Still going strong. Just replaced the front and rear diff fluids and the transfer case fluid and the spare tire hoist and the fuel filter, and well as the gas cap and the torque rod, and the headlamp housings.
Then I flushed out the cargo area and reinstalled my carpet and Cargo area cover and cargo nets. I love my baby, cause I built her in Oklahoma city!

Did you change the diff fluids yourself?

Absolutely! Mobil 1 75 -90W for the diffs and GM Autotrak Transfer case fluid for the T case. Cartridge style hand pump, PB blaster, 18" extensions, 1/2 in breaker bar style ratchet, ratcheting wrenches and 3/8" Male pipe thread socket for the Diff plug. Assistant, jack, stands and ramps is all else required. Just be ready to replace your spare tire hoist if you haven't used it in 9 years. The tire needs to be removed to access all the fasteners on the rear diff cover.

2004 xuv
I was seaching on here and found this thread.
I have 120,000 miles on my XUV and owned her since new.
So far I had multiply issues with the rear wiper, after the warrenty was over and the blade pretty much fell off, I just stopped using it, also had to replace the preasure switch for the endgate 6 times (3 times on each one, dealer did it once)
also had to fix
both wheel bearings
front differential (case cracked)
rack and pinion (power only one way)
exhaust manifold (still cracked)
power steering pump
muffler
and a bunch of other things the dealer did under warrenty.

2004 xuv
I've got a 2004 XUV 4x4 bought it new. It now has 94K miles on it of which 20,000 were on dirt roads in the mountains of Arizona and Idaho. I'll guess I've spent a mere $2000 on maintenance. This, by far has been the best vehicle I've ever owned and I'm pushing 70 y/o.

I've got an '04 with 73K. It's an XUV SLT with a V-8. Haven't seen any V-8's since I've had it. I am the original owner.

New XUV owner
I just purchased (last Thursday) a 2004 XUV SLT with the I6, 2WD. I replaced my 2000 F150 with the XUV and absolutely love it. It is white w gray leather and currently has 155K. This thing drives as smooth as my wife’s 2010 Altima. Granted the MPGs are not as good but it sure does beat the 8MPG my F150 was getting.
Mine has an aftermarket Alpine DVD system so my kids think it is the greatest.
Only thing that I need to replace so far (knock on wood) is the plastic clip that keeps the tailgate rod secure on the left side of the tailgate. Does anyone know the part number or where I may be able to get a replacement?
Thanks and glad to be here!!

I'm actually considering buying one of these. I found a lower mileage 2004, 1 owner. Anything in particular to consider on these? I used to have a 2004 "normal" Envoy so I know my way around these, but haven't dealt with the XUVs before. Looks like a neat concept, for sure. Also considering an Avalanche but this looks nice for the dog, etc.
