Aged tire Replacement?

I just got an '08 Envoy with 20k miles. The tires show a mfg. date of Aug. '07. They are a bit cracked around the rim. I think I should replace these even though they have very little wear. Any advise??

Thanks, larry.k

Tough to say without pics, man. How big/wide/deep are the cracks? Worse on one side than the other (sun exposure? dry rot?)? You seeing threads? Always best to play it safe when it comes to tires in my experience, but if ya post a good closeup photo I'm happy to weigh in.

Tire Replacement

HI, the cracks are very small, and are mostly up close to the rim. They are just big enough to get me worrying. I think I will replace them in May, just before I take the Envoy on a trip to W,DC. I'm mostly worried that a tire might fail while I'm out on the trip. Better to be safe I think.
