GM Paint 67U vs. 67 Are they different?

Hi all, My Envoy is exterior color 67U Liquid Silver. I just bought touch up paint from my dealer. Based on last 8 vin numbers he gave me 67 Lt. Tarnished Silver. I just kinda stand there with a dumb look on my face wondering how they could be the same. Does antone know? Are these different?

theydid the sAME THING TO MY IMPALA, IT WAS "GALAXY" SILVER, THEN CHANGED THE NAME TO SOMETHING ELSE LATER ON...sORRY FOR THE CAPS BUTTON IS STUCK NOW ON MY LAPTOP

The 67 is the paint code, the U means "upper", as in the paint on the top parts of a truck with two-tone paint. If you had two-tone paint, the bottom colour would have a L for lower, as in 67L. Most of the GM computer codes require 3 characters, so when a vehicle is one colour, the colour code uses the U to provide the 3 character requirement.
Most gm paints get re-used, from year to year (the 41 black has been used for years), but they will change the name (keep the number, change the name) most years. The names even get changed from one line to an other, Chev may use the same paint # as Pontiac, but the name will/may be different.

When i paint GM's i only use the wa number because if you use for say 12u it can pull up 5 or so different colors on the computer,when you go to mix the color.
