inop speedometer lights make for dangerous night driving, HELP!

Hello everybody. I had posted a problem earlier concerning my instrument panel lights. As I was cleaning my TB, I knocked the "sunlight" sensor down into the dashboard, and out of view of the sun. I had assumed that this is what was causing my instrument panel lights to not come on. Well, I somehow managed to get the little nipple looking sensor out, but my speedometer lights still won't come on. I have tried locating the fuse, but I hit a dead end there. Driving at night with no speedometer lights feels a bit dangerous. I never knew how important it was to have working dash lights. If it helps; my center guage cluster lights don't work as well. The radio channel lights, and the A/C lights. The Clock/ Radio station display comes on just fine. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. I've tried searching this thread in other forums, and I could'nt find anything similar.

Sounds like a separate problem of your dimmable lamp supply. Check all fuses labeled "TBC".

Red face TBC it is.

Sure enough, TBC 3 or 4, I don't recall, I'm just happy it got fixed. This is not the first time you've helped me. I can't thank you enough, but this leads me to ask another question; this is'nt the first time I've had to replace a fuse, I have also had to replace the "pig tail" for the headlamps. Just today, I had to replace a tail light. I've been buying light bulbs regularly for my TB, I've had it since 2007, and it's an 02. Is this normal for an 02? Or is there a bigger problem at hand?

P.S. What does TBC stand for?:

TBC = Truck Body Controller, believe it or not. From GM literature. Throw that back in the face of anybody who says it's a car, not a truck.

roadie i love reading your replies.

I think my solution to your problem would have involved buying a miners hat and aiming the light at the dash or you can fix it the roadie way
