Spied the 2014 Trailblazer in Detroit

I was driving on I-696 right outside of Detroit this afternoon and spotted a Trailblazer w/ a manufacturer plate. I don't know if it's the clear windows or the side steps that's doing it, or if I just couldn't believe my eyes, but I had to look at it for about 5 seconds before deciding that it wasn't an equinox.. not a good sign.

If you look closely at the second photo, looks like I was caught red handed haha

If you look at pictures of the 2014 Trailblazer and this they are nothing alike. But I read an article about them bringing the new Trailblazer to the US and I wonder if this is the US version. It looks to be frame on since you can see the rear diff in the first photo.

That's the one they use in South America. they kept the name alive down there. I hope they revive it here in the US.

Not to be a heretic, but I'm really not a fan of the new ones...the old ones just look awesome!

tb

I hope that isn't it, thats ugly. I'll take my 08 Ascender anyday. Is GM ever going to use something other than that Equinox front end on every new car ? Glad to see they got away from it with the new Traverse and they did a great job on the new Impala . We can only hope any new TB and the Colorado look a lot better than that .

One thing I don't like on any SUV is when the side rear windows don't match the styling or lines of the front & mid windows.

Looks like someone finished the design then realized they forgot the rear set of windows and just threw whatever they had left over on it.

ok. Start buy adding a foot in length. Then maybe larger rear windows and a front end that's original.

Is there a diesel option? I saw a pick of the dash and the redline on the tach was 4500. Anyone know?
