Hi there, need some help or suggestions....
This is a 2002 TB I6

Had to replace my timing chain (220000 miles). Car was misfiring and died. After removing valve cover noticed intake sprocket missing half of its teeth, so broke the chain off (as I was not going to drop my oil pan and 4X4 drive train) loosened engine cover, bought a new chain pulled off the cover of 1 link and separated the chain, fed it through installed a new intake sprocket and re attached chain (saved many hours of disassembling the front end of the car, you can ask me how if you would like!).

Also had the head re skimmed and valves re seated.

Question, my actuator (exhaust actuator) does not lock tight as the manual suggests it should when adjusting the camshaft . Do you think it could be broke? Is there a way to find out? As it just keeps rotating around. The only way it does go tight, is if I let the bolt turn with it.

Any help or suggestions would be great
Thanks
