Any Ideas on how to get the rear wiper rest off. Recently purchased the newer 07 style rear wiper, and would like to replace the old rest with the new. I looked on the back of the new one, and just seems like you push it on and it will clip in. So I tried pulling on the old one hoping it would pop off but nothing so far, didn't seem to budge at all. Looked at the 07 wiper install in the articals but didn't mention anything about the wiper rest.
Only two bolts on mine. There is a thread which explains the whole set-up--how to remove the inner trim panel, etc., but perhaps it's on the the TrailblazerSS site, not this one.
fwiw ... I just took off the entire rear gate plastic cover thingy or whatever its called lol ... I couldn't fit my meat-hooks in there to get to the bolts haha ... it was easy to get off, but I had to enlist the lady to help get it back on cause its hard to align both sides above your head ... i got my kit from parts4chevys also
edit:
thanks to Jauto for this post in a diff thread, it helped me get the rear trim off
Refer to one of my articles I did to see how to remove that plastic panel:
The one I got was a little diffrent then the one I had on there originally. Not only that it looked alot nicer and wasn't fadded. Maybe some of the newer trailvoys have the new rest with the old wipers.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
