I have a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ and I need to replace the mode door actuator. I have heating coming out the drivers side and no heat out of the passengers side and rear seats. I took it to my dealer and they diagnosed it and verified that it is the mode door actuator. They want $996 to replace it..which is an absolute joke. I gave them a TSB about the new tool they should use so they can get to the actuator without removing the the dash, but they insist that they will still remove the dash anyway and it will take several hours to do. I can get the part on gmpartsdirect for $32 and they want $186 for it. I would like to just replace this myself. I found some posts in the archive that have the part# for the actuator and had pictures showing how to replace it, but those pics are gone. Does anyone have pics or some written instructions on how to replace this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know the correct part number of the mode door actuator I need for my 2002 Trailblazer LTZ? I have 2 different one's and not sure which to use...89018539 or 89018675. Also, is it possible for me to buy the GE-47676 Mode Actuator Removal Tool somewhere? Any idea of the price?
Awesome..thanks so much for the info. Very much appreciated.
