I have a 2002 trailblazer and today I turned on let it warm up and turned the heater on and noticed it went from .6 rpm to .3rpm and kept on doing that going down and then up after it started it turned of (the engine) so I turned back on and tried it and same thing just that I turned the heater off and the engine stayed on. So what could it be I went to all the auto parts in city and all said they have never seen that before!
When was the last time you cleaned your throttle body? This kind of thing usually happens when there is an extra load on the engine, like the AC compressor coming on. Believe it or not, but the compressor will come on even if you don't have the AC on.
So you think the throttle boy clean will help because when it happends its only with the heater and it will shut the engine off and rev from .6 to .3 till it dies
