17" wheels to 16" w/adapters.

I have a 02 tb ltz 4x4 non ext that came with 17" wheels. My question is if I get 1.5" wheel spacers can I run 16" wheels with spacers?

So the stock 16x7 will fit no prob? What if I bought 16x8 aftermarket wheels, they would still the calipers from stock 17s?

Huh? I think what you are trying to say is will 16x8 fit answer is maybe depends on the back offset compared to original 16x7. You might need spacers for them to clear.

The plan is...

Markmc 2.5 lift
16x8 xd wheels 4.5 backspacing 0mm offset
265/75/16 treadwright guarddogs/wardens

Do I need spacers, I've done a search and found that stock 16x7 wheels with 1.5 wheel spacers comes out to around 4.5 backspacing. Also a good backspacing would be 5".

OK to swap 17" for 16" wheels/tires?

My 04 LT SWB has stock 245/65R17 wheels and tires. Have a buddy with an 06 LS SWB who has to get rid of his truck (pity). Question is, can I swap his 235/75R16 stock wheels and tires for mine without mods? Will it affect the speedo or computer? I imagine mine wouldn't corner as well with the smaller rims, however...comments, please?
