Power Steering Fluid Leak

Hey

Has anyone had any problems with their power steering pump/Hose leaking?
Wife called and said the TB was making a funning noise so I checked fluids and the power steering was very low.So I checked the Tb the next day and noticed a few drops of fluid on my garage floor.

Thanks for any help with this

'06 models had a recall for possible ps hose problems. It could rupture the hose when you take sharps turns. I'd take it to the dealership.

Yeah

I called them this morning that acted like they haven't had any problems with any of the TB power steering. I will call another one and let them look at it .

Is it milky red? PS fluid is sometimes a bland color and its pretty gooey. Yours is an '06, I would take it down there anyways.

Power Steering Leak

I added a pint of fluid last week cause steering pump was squeeling. It's squeeling again so I added another pint. How much fluid does the resevoir hold? It mush be leaking out, but no evidence/puddle under TB. Any ideas?

On my 2004, I see a single drop of PS fluid on the garage floor about once a month. Not enough to worry about, but we need to keep an eye on it. So far, haven't heard about many problems with the 2004's.

What was leaking, a hi press hose or a cooler hose? I know the pumps are junk, but I havent heard of any hose, cooler or steering rack leaks.

Power Steering Leak

I don't see a leak from any where, but it must be leaking to go through that much fluid so quickly. How much does the PS reseavor hold? What could be leaking, is this a common problem?
