Cylinder Identification

Hello guys, I'm a newby and have a question. I did a search and could'nt find nothin. Can you tell me the location of the cylinder order on a 4.2 I6. starting from the top closet to the firewall. I have a bad coil pack and need to no which cylinder is #4. thanks alot.

Number one is the front cylinder.

The firing order, if you need it, is 1-5-3-6-2-4

Cylinders are numbered 1-6 from front to back. Firing order is what RayVoy posted.

Yep, and all the coils are the same and interchageable. I've seen (and owned) coil-over ignition engines where one (or more) coil was a tad shorter than the others due to space constraints. You'd get misfires if you used that coil on other cylinders!
