Rear Hatch got Jacked Up!

I opened the hatch the other day on my TB (which I bought two weeks ago). I hear a creek, then it wouldn't open all the way. I close it and look up and notice the panel at the top of the rear hatch popped out of place...now it won't go back! I heard this is common if you lift the hatch while the glass is open--I didn't make that bonehead move. I'm assuming the previous owner did, and the dealership was able to sneak it by me. I opened the hatch 5-10 times before it suddenly popped on me. Can I fix it/replace it on my own...the great people at Gamblin motors won't accomidate me, I think.

How long a go did you buy it? Have you tried asking the dealer about fixing it?

rear hatch

I bought it April 3rd. I don't think its covered under the warranty I bought. You think they might fix it on goodwill, or something?

problem (possibly) solved

It sounds like the sales mgr at the dealership is going to handle this one...What a guy, right! Thanks for all the replies. I love seeing a forum like this for a product I own. Looks like plenty of good resources here!
