The school's 94 blazer had that problem too. We took it off and cleaned it up with some brake cleaner. Remember to remove it gently as to not destroy the gasket

i forgot i have a manuel that i bought for my truck... old mzada pick up that works for the for ranger... it mentions in there what sensors and all that in there... thanks...

Remove the EGR valvs and clean the inlet and outlet ports with a wire brush and scraper, Do no sandblast the vlave or clean it with gasoline or solvents. These Liquids will destroy the EGR Valve diaphragm.

what it says in teh book... so is brake fluid cleaner considered a solvent or no?

I don't know. You've gotta break down that carbon somehow anyway. Maybe soak it in some seafoam

I don't think a new value is very expensive, might be cheaper than the cleaner
