Auto Climate Control Problem

My fiance and I went on a roadtrip up into the NC mountains over the weekend. The ac on the auto climate control system worked just fine. On the way home I went to turn on the AC system and only hot air came out. I looked in the backseat and the rear seat electronic controls would not work either. Besides being a little peeved that this happened on a new vehicle with just over 16k miles on it.... it was a long hot drive home.

Yesterday morning I hop in my TB only for all these functions to be working perfectly fine again.

Has this happened to anyone else or are there any recommendations of what I can tell the mechanic to look for when it goes in the shop. I wouldn't be happy if I took it in and the mechanic told me they could not duplicate the problem.

Most likely a defective Low Pressure Cycling Switch, a fairly common problem with these vehicles. It is covered under your warranty and takes only about 15 minutes to replace.

It was never a recall but was a common problem. If your warranty is out and you don't have an extended warranty, You'll have to pay for it. I don't think it would be too expensive as the part is a really small one and it only takes about 15 minutes to change it.

if its the part I think it is... some people tap it with a screwdrivers head or similar and the AC comes to life!
