A/C won't blow out of front vents

My 04 Envoy's A/C won't blow out of the front main vents.
The A/C is fully digital so all I do is push the mode button. The A/C does work on defrost and on the feet, it just wont blow out of the front vents.

The second row's A/C work just fine.

Any ideas?

Look on this site below and see thread called "Lemon law" and "2002 Climate Control". Has info about your problem. You probably have a bad door control unit located behind the AC control switch....also see thread on engine and drive train called "AC problem" by rattletrap....

Mine went to the dealer for that today. It would half blow out the defrost at times. They called me back and said they couldn't duplicate the problem. How did I know that?! They said they could try to reprogram it for $85.00. I told them I would wait till it quit working altogether and let my extended warranty cover it.

Sigh, mine is sitting at dealer now for the same issue. I have the manual climate control system. Like many others reported in other posts, the problem started after dead-cell battery replacement.

I had a similar problem. I would have the fan on full blast and the driver's side middle vent hardly pushed out any air. I took it into the dealership (my buddy is a service writer there), I got a call a few hours later and he said it was the temperature door module (or something like that). It was going to cost about $500 to fix but he got me the employee rate and got it down to about $419 after tax. The part was about $130 the rest was labor as they have to rip out the entire dash and remove some of the hardware in the center of the dash to get to the part.
