Tire Pressure Monitor

Does anyone know if its possible to turn off or disable the whole tire pressure monitor / sensor system? It's such a pain in the rear. I have a second set of rims / tires (22's wrapped with BF Goodrich G Force!!) which have tire pressure sensors but the system wont recognize them. Every time i get in the truck i get that IDIOT message and the icon on the dash. I would like to turn the system off for the summer while the second set is on the truck but turn it back on when the stock tires go back on for the winter. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

If you had the GM sensor value stems installed with your new wheels then you simply need to recalibrate them.

If you had regular value stems installed on the new wheels you are SOL.
