Rear Wiper Not Working

Still going through everything, but looking to see if anyone has had their rear wiper up and quit on them. The only thing I can think of is yesterday I put the Battery on a 2A charge for a bit. Shouldn't be the cause of the problem but it hasn't worked since yesterday either.

Thoughts?

Too funny! Mine just went out 2 days ago! I haven't had a chance to look into it... but I am thinking fuse... same day my radio decided to reset the time (but stations and settings stayed the same) . I haven't done anything electrically new to my car so I have no idea why it would be doing this... Maybe moisture?? It has been raining a lot lately.

Well its been very cold here. I checked all the fuses then swaped the rear wiper relay with the fog light relay and it works. But so do the fog lights. Its either the cold or an electrical gremlin.
In any case, problem solved, for now....

I would say start with the fuses. Maybe yours is an easy fix too

hey guy, just thought i'd add my 2 cents - seeing as you and i share the same type of weather i'd thought i'd let you know about how everytime i wash my truck and go out in the cold my rear wiper won't work - it freezes up in fact. when it warms up - no problem. my buddy at a local dealer told me that it is designed not to work if there is any type of resistance. so that the arm won't break. just thought i'd share a story.

could be frozen, could also be stuck. By stuck, I mean in the plastic perch.

hi, most likely when u charged ur battery u reset ur rear gate madule (crappy electrical engineering) anyhow it happened when i replaced my battery, remote not working and rear wiper not working, any how way i fixed it was to unhook the battery and let it sit over night then reattach and let the engine run or drive for half an hour, don;t turn on ur rear wiper or use ur remote during this half hour. it should work after that.

Ok... so yesterday I checked the fuses with a voltmeter and they are "fine"... Disconnected the battery for awhile... connected the battery and waited awhile and tried my rear windshield wiper... still didn't work... the windshield wiper fluid sprayer works though... so, could it be the rear windshield wiper motor or the switch?

Any help or suggestions would be awesome!!

The rear wiper went on my 2009 this winter at 58000km. It was the motor according to the dealer but then again I never saw it and it was replaced under the bumper to bumper. I really suspect it was only the switch because they changed that to.
