Manual Climate Control to Digital Climate Control

Guys, is it possible to swap the manual dual zone climate control for the digital dual zone climate control without any modification. I have seen some cheap on EBAY and wonder if it would be a direct swap. Thanks for any help.

It's possible, but it would not be a direct swap by any means. The automatic system has some extra parts you'd have to add. It has an interior temp. sensor in the driver's door pillar, plus temp. sensors at every duct outlet, not to mention all the associated wiring. There might be more too. Check out this post for more info:

Not possible for a reasonable amount of money. I think a price quote from a dealer was 7K, so you are much better off getting one with it already installed.

What he's trying to say, if you would read his smiley, it means "no, sorry." Plain and simple answer.

The automatic system isn't 100% automatic anyways. Then you have to explain to your significiant other that the cabin will not get warmer quicker by turning the dial to 80+ degrees or more compared to leaving it on the desired temp setting.

Personally, I hate GM's Auto/Digital Climate Control, I think it is the poorest implementation out of any I've seen. I'd actually prefer to have the manual system.

re

Can you just install the digital read out and controlls to replace the manual controls. Wife likes the look of the digital. I do not care if it works in auto I just want to turn up the temp and on the a/c. I also want to be able to select where the air comes out.
