Angry Oil Dipstick

Anyone else think the oil dipstick is difficult to read with that little plastic thing on the end? I wish it was all metal like they used to be.

OK, since ghoster has hijacked basically every thread on the site by now , we can get back to the original question of the stupid oil dipstick.

I hate it, the only way I can get an accurate reading is to put a shop towel around it and measure the level with the dipstick mark.

ghoster, J/K man!

Is there an aftermarket dipstick available? Something you could buy at Autozone and the like. It would be nice to have an "old skool" dip stick
