Pcm tune + jet chips upgrade?
was wondering if anyone has gotten their PCMforless tune and also tried to add either the Stage 1 or Stage 2 or both Jet Performance chips to their setup. i have the PCMforless tune myself but was curious if anyones tried this.

Your truck will not run with the tune and adding the chip. Don't even mess with the chip. If you have a tune, you're already better off.

Well it will run, just not well. The Jet chips are merely a bunch of resistors that change the voltage the PCM sees coming in. Pretty much its not the proper way to do a tune. Plus if you have a tune you will get knock and everything will be messed up as the chip expects the stock settings to still be in the PCM.
So DONT DO IT.

I tried adding my old Jet Chip to my truck with the tune just for s***s and giggles and it threw a code and would not start up. But that was with my I4. Maybe its different for the I6. Either way, stick with the tune.

it won't work, i had a Jet Chip as a gift and install it, it gave boost, but when i ordered my tuned PCM from PCMforless , hell boy, this was a real tune, and i asked kelly for PCMforless if both work together, the reply was not at all, actually i think it will cancel the tuned PCM.

I'd LOVE to do the PCM tune, but...
My 05 TB LS is my primary ride. Is there any place where you can swap PCM's? Kinda like a core, pay high up front with refund after they receive your good PCM?

You can see if there is a local tuner in your area. They can tune it on the spot without having to remove your PCM.

PCMforLess is good, but a local, custom tune for your individual truck might be better.

With the lack of I-6's there are few tuners. If someone has not done quite a few I-6'S I would not let them touch mine. Pcmforless has done very many including mine and I am very happy.
