Hmmmm

Listening...I just ran in to the same problem. It's the left climate control knob; lights are totally out. I really don't feel like removing it for repair in the middle of winter...will probably do it next summer.

On a side note, I'm surprised that GM used a seperate bulb for each side/knob. Seems kinda "excessive" to me; they could've used just one and spread the light output to both sides.

The bulbs are not replaceable. They are soldered to the board. I broke my faceplate and the temp. control sliders trying to get the assembly apart. If it really bothers you that the light is out ebay has some used ones. I picked mine up for $40. New units go for around $180!!! Otherwise just deal with it. It's only a light for the hvac system anyway.

Hmmm...my passenger side temp control (slider - non digital) light burned out, too.

I see a pattern here. And the light isn't serviceable?

Awesome.

Mine burned out on my passenger side. Not worried about it, usually leave them pretty close to the same position anyway. If its the worse thing that happens, I can live with it

LMAO my passenger side went out too. So I did some research on here and found that someone had mentioned hitting it, I flicked it a few time (right next to the slider) and its been on for like 6months or so now.

Tapping it worked for mine. Eventually going to be doing the LED mod, but for now I just hit it from time to time and they come back on. Not sure if it is just a bad soldering job they did on them or what, but they go out randomly and tapping on the front with my knuckle gets them back on.
