Exclamation Electric front seats not working

The front driver’s seat of our 06 Envoy has stopped working. The memory option doesn't move it, the buttons on the side do not move it and the heated seat option doesn't work on either front seat. If you push the buttons to move the seat or push the memory/exit buttons, the seat sits still but you can hear a solenoid clicking on and off for a while after you push it. The solenoid is under the steering under the dash. I was going to let this go until I could figure it out, but whatever is going on is running the battery down every night too. I don't hear the clicking after it has sat a while, but something is on that totally drains the battery after about 12 hours. And it is DEAD, not even a click on the starter. Do any of you have any idea what this might be?? I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Rock

If you don't have thave the money to fix it, just try to find the fuse for the seats, and yank it. That should keep your battery from dying at least

I uplugged the seat tonight. Not sure if that is the problem or not though. With all of the seperate solenoids and control boards these things have it could be a number of things. I was hoping the clicking solenoid would give somebody an indicator as to the problem. Not sure if the passenger and drivers seat heaters run thru the drivers seat or not, that again sounds like a more central problem somewhere other than under the seat. The hard part is, I don't know if it is fixed (meaning no longer running my battery down) until the battery dies again since their are no indicators as to what is running down the battery to begin with!

Re boot the computer

I just had a similar problem with my 02 LTZ. When setting the memory seats for my wife, the seat went back to the ez exit position and then nothing. Checked the fuses, they were OK. After trying a few things, I disconnected the ground on the battery, waited a few seconds and reconnected. Everything now works. As a side I have been having problems with my ABS brake light also, when the seats stopped working my ABS light went on...

I really like my Trailblazer, but still am not convinced to the long term quality of GM products. I hope I am proven wrong because I am ready to return to GM products.

The battery was not draind this morning, so I guess unplugging the main harness worked to the drivers seat worked. I am still not sure if the issue is with the seat or if the seat is sending a signal somewhere else and causing a problem. Does anyone know where the seat control module is and if this module also controls the seat heater for both seats?
