How to change transfer case fluid

I know I know, there has been lots of post on how to change the transfer case fluid. However, I have been searching, and looking for about 20 mins and I can not find any posts on how to do this.

So can anyone point me to the post/thread where there is step by step directions or pictures on how to do this.

Don't think there are any "step by step" directions. Should be pretty obvious. Just a couple of pointers.

1. Buy the fluid at your GM dealer.

2. Loosen the fill plug first. To make sure that you can get new fluid in after you drain the old fluid.

Go for it.

Here's the thread you couldn't find.

Ok, thanks a bunch.

Looks straight forward. I just have to get a manual pump I think from princess auto to make the fill a bit easier.

First you have to locate the transfer case. It is located under the drivers side seat.

Next locate the transfer case. This is looking up under the vehicle as if you were lying on your back.

Next, find a 3/8 inch alan key/SAE Hex Key, and remove the upper filler plug. It will be tight.

I tried and I tried and I tried......but I could not budge the filler hole. So I figured out an adjustable wrench I had fit the key, so I put it on the key to give me more leverage.
