Question Neutral safety swich - back up light

I have tested bulbs, relay, fuses and voltage and still do not have a back up light - where is the switch located? I think it is called the neutral safety and back up light switch.

could be time for a new circuit board. 15 bucks on ebay!

The switch is on the driver's side of the tranny.

Back up light

Thanks for the help. Replaced the Park/Neutral Back Up Switch. Still no back up lights and getting no voltage to the bulbs. There is some adjustment on the switch - is it possible that the adjustment could be made to correct the problem for the back up light even though the starter will not work when it is in any gear - but okay in Park & Neutral?

Which circuit board and where is it located?

I really would like to have that back up light.

So now you know the switch is good,

How have you tested the bulbs, relay, fuses and voltage.

You can't make statements without providing test results.

The switch you changed, provides a ground to the PCM.

The PCM passes a NEUTRAL switch operated message to the BCM.

The BCM switches voltage from fuse #32 (rear fuse panel) to the backup lamps.

The back up wire colour is light green.

Back Up Lights

Thanks, RayVoy - Bulbs, fuses and relay were proven by switching to another position and all checks were positively showing the problem had to be somewhere else. (Sorry I don't have the #'s of fuse or relay positions.) However, your explanation of the routing of the current has repaired the problem. #32 fuse was blown. So, I now have a used, apparently good, Park/Neutral Switch. I also now have a schematic of the exterior lighting and can easily see that the #32 fuse would have been the first thing to check. It's interesting that that fuse was not identified as having anything to do with the back up lights in the owner's manual. So, thank you and I am enjoying the TrailVoy WebSite.
