B0100 Code Front Airbag Sensor

Is it possible to remove and replace the front left airbag sensor without removing the grill? I can see the sensor from above , but its very difficult to find it from underneath. Also is there any specific steps to take with replacing it? Ive searched and dont really see anything for a 2007 TB. Thanks

Don't know for sure, as the service manual calls out removal of the grill to replace the sensor. For what it's worth, it doesn't look like grill removal is all that difficult, though I've never done it myself.

According to the service manual, first you should disable the SIR (supplemental inflatable restraint) system, either by pulling all of the SIR fuses, or disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Other than that, it looks pretty straightforward. The manual cautions against striking or jolting the sensor, and states that the sensor needs to be securely fastened before power is reapplied. Make sure the arrow on the sensor is pointed toward the front of the vehicle, and torque the mounting bolts to 8Nm (71 lbin).

Left Front Airbag Sensor

I had a wreck with a guard rail that affected the driver side of the TB, but the repair shop said I had a failed Front Left Airbag Sensor. Ins. won't pay because the damage was on the left side and the sensor was on the front. Anyhoo, I need to replace it, but I am getting conflicting part numbers. Can anyone confirm the part # for the 2007 TB LT.? It has every option you can think of just short of the SS package if that makes a difference. The vin is 1GNDT13S272220239.

Thanks,
Suttmike1.
