Instrument Panel Cluster dead

2006 Envoy - Check Engine Light is the only light that comes on when key is turned on. I have power at fuse 22 and 24. The odometer didn't work and I was going to take it in anyway. Last week i left the windows down and it rained . Ddon't know if the ICP got wet or not. should I just take it in anyway? Everything I have read looks like I need a ICP anyway.

I'm dealing with this as well. New ignition switch brought it back for a while, have you tried that yet?

no just found out yesterday , but the fact that the ICP odometer just read zero i think I will have the dealer change out the panel anyway, I think they are the only ones that can set the millage.

I've heard that as well. Let us know what they say/find. I may be heading to the dealer myself for a new one.

Thanks for posting an update as most don't when they resolve the problems! At least now I know what I'm up against. Unfortunately for me I can't afford that pricetag with ALL that is wrong with my TB.

Plenty of Ebay and Internet vendors will do repairs for $100-140. Many of them are licensed for mileage adjustments if you have to buy a new one, but many repairs don't require that.

Mine needed more than just stepper motors for the gauges. i emailed several ebay vendors to see if they could fix it , got no responses. I was hesitant to send it in (or doing it myself- I have an electronics background) only to find the recommended fix didn't fix everything wrong with mine

Same as Bowbender here...no replies as of yet from a couple ebay vendors. Will try a couple local shops tomorrow as most are closed weekends. T minus 6 weeks until my E-check lapses and i can't get plates. My TB then becomes a lawn statue!

The only light working - Check engine light, rest dead as a stone. Truck otherwise starts, runs just fine. My cluster has DIC (driver information center), nothing works. Done some research, went to the dealer who was kind enough to reveal to me what local electronics shop they use to have these things fixed (York electronics- I am in Calgary AB Canada). Rodie is absolutely right, plenty places to get help with this hardware, just look them up on the NET.
Now good news, got ready to pull the panel out, disconnected battery for a few minutes to deenergise SRS. Barely started on bolster knee panel, needed to move the truck off the driveway. Reconnected battery to start the thing, AND panel rebooted like a Christmas tree computer. Did not even loose any memory, like odometer, seat and mirror positions etc. Sure made my day easier to get at the leaky front diff.
