Just started this today. Noticed an intermittent chirping, squealing from front of engine at idle only. Figured it was power steering — however, turning hard left or right eliminates squeal. Squeal only occurs at idle, vanishes altogether when revved.
So, any ideas on the source of this mystery squeal? I'd like to compare notes after I take her in to the shop. Thanks!
The belt itself may be the cause of the chirping noise. The belt may LOOK okay, but changing it on my 05 EXT solved the chirp. In my case, the belt was only 2 1/2 maybe 3 years old at the most!
Mine only made the chriping sound when the engine was cold.
