awful p0017 code

Hello I am in desperate need of advice. I recently replaced my 2007 chevy trailblazer LT timing. Including all 3 sprockets, chain, guides, tensioner, did a fresh oil change, and put new ac Delco iridium spark plugs in. Took over a month to do with my work schedule. Once it was back together I received this p0017 code. Since then I have replaced both sensors and the solenoid. I took it to chevy and they told me my timing is off. In which I believe they are just trying to get a timing job from me. Following day, I opened up the valve cover again just to double check the ting and it was right on time. The truck is not running bad at all, the idle sometimes goes up and down but overall it's fine. My inspection sticker is up and I can not pass with this engine light being on. I've already put out 1,000 dollars trying to fix it. Please please help me. Thank you all in advance.

Googling this code, I found several people had success by changing the cam phaser. That means pulling the camshaft area cover for access. Good Luck.

Thankyou.. I already changed the phaser during the process of the timing chain. The only thing that caught my eye about the phaser was, the fully advanced. The phaser I purchased would not move to the right or left. So I assumed it was already in fully advanced.
