Low fuel pressure ?

I have an 05 trailblazer LS 4.2 EXT with low fue pressure & no power /pickup so far ,as I looked for the filter & cant find it I'm guessing its in the tank ,part of the fuel pump along with the regulator I'm getting about 42 psi fuel pressure poor gas mileage it's got just over 100k so I'm figuring on a fuel pump also getting a p 0001 code any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Going from memory, the fuel pressure should be 52 to 57 PSI. Do a search here to double check the numbers.
You're also going to have to find out what the codes are, and trouble shoot them.
