Code P0121 for GMC Envoy Denali please help!

Let me start by saying I'm new to this site and if this isnt the correct place to post this please refer me to where it belongs.

Please excuse me if I sound like I partially don't know what I'm doing, I only know what I've been told. To keep the story short, the car is my moms and my dad was working on it until he just got sick of it and gave up. He was getting the code P0121 and he replaced the TPS. He then got a code for throttle pedal position sensor and he replaced that.(I did not know they were two separate things). He said he tried to do a reset on the PCM and the car gave a code for TAC. Now when the check engine light comes on, I check the codes and sometimes it says there are no codes stored or pending and sometimes it will say code P0121. While driving car will "lose power" so to speak and not accelerate unless I turn the car off and start again. It also jumps and jerks at times until I stop somewhere and clear the code. It seems like once I clear the code the issues stop. Any suggestions? Ive read suggestions all over this site but my issue is slightly different. I'm not sure what to check next.

hi,

welcome to the site.

the symptoms you describe could indicate a problem with the throttle body and the sensor.

have you checked and/or cleaned that?

it is Throttle Position Sensor, part #19259452, if it needs to be replaced.(about $35)

TPS has intermittent open or short internally
Harness is rubbing and causing an open or short in the wiring
Bad connection at the TPS
Bad PCM (less likely)
Water or corrosion in connector or sensor
