Ok guys, it's gonna be in April we know this, as every year. Just wanna figure out what everyone else wants to do. Same place? Same weekend? We have inventory at work so I really hope that doesn't fall on the same weekend ... and I know Kevin, you are gonna have something to say but I got excited, lol. And I do help you run this stuff so I'm taking charge... you were supposed to have this thread up last month mister.
So what are you guys thinking? Was Stone Mountain nice enough to do it again?

lol look at sammy getting excited about a meet lol John and myself are meeting for dinner next weekend and i figured that we would talk about it then (don't worry i will be texting you)
lol sorry guys i have been meeting to get more info up; just been pretty busy around the holidays. give me a day or 2 and i will get a date and some more info for y'all; but it will probably be in late april
Would be great if it was in early MAY!!! All of april is a no go for me, F%$&# Derby!!! Mandatory work 6 days a week 12 hours a day. Did i mention I HATE FU%$&#@ DERBY! Anything after the first and second, which is the first weekend in May and subsequently also Derby weekend. I await your posting...:coffee
bah... needs to be early April for us probably... inventory is usually late in the month... and it wont be in May because of mothers day and the cbus meet...
Ok everyone so the date is going to be April 10; just need to decide on a location I think I will get a poll up and have it close Jan 9 to decide a location so please vote or give your opinion for a location; of course there will be a pre- and post- dinner/breakfast for anyone traveling:yes:
sorry, I have had some things come up that have kept me very busy, but right know all that we know for an update is that we will have it at Lake Lanier. I am not sure which park yet but probably somewhere near Buford Dam. I will hopefully have a location soon:tiphat
so for those of us who know the area which park would you like to have the meet at; the ones I am looking at are on the south side of the lake and easy access from I-985
the price of a pavilion is the same at either park so that is not an issue and both parks have a per car fee which is $4 per truck. Let me know what everyone thinks and i can make the reservation soon
Ok guys I just got off the phone with the people to reserve the pavilion and Burford Dam Park's pavilions were kind of tucked away in the woods with no lake views; Van Pugh North's pavilion had full lake views so I decided to go with Van Pugh North.
got all the paperwork from the Army Corps today and it included some directions so here we go:
From HWY 400
Take 400 Nort to exit 14
Turn right on hwy 20 east toward Buford
Take approx. 10 miles through several traffic lights
Turn Left on Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
Peachtree Industrial Switches to Mcever Rd. (same road)
Turn left on Gaines Ferry Rd.
Road forks at end; turn to the right toward Van Pugh North
Road dead ends at park
From I-85 or 985
Take 85 to 985 North
Take exit 8 and turn left on Friendship Rd./Hwy 347
At third traffic light turn right on McEver Road.
Turn left on Gaines Ferry Rd.
Road forks at end; veer to the right toward Van Pugh North
Road dead ends into park
