2006 envoy rod bearings

Hello , I recently noticed a rod knock in my 2006 envoy it ran but noticeably a knock. I replaced the engine with used one and it’s great now. My question is will I be ok to change all the rod bearings and have a spare engine cause I love the vehicle. Or just pull head pan intake and keep the spare parts . I’ve heard if bearing was spun it’s best to redo crank and build bottom end and I don’t wanna spend all that to do the crank. Thanks a lot for the info! Replacing this engine was a pain by the way!!!
