Bent muffler rattling help plz

Aright sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I'm new know nothing about cars and desperate. I have an 04 trailblazer ls and I stupidly backed up a ditch and bent my muffler almost 70 degrees. So now it rattles so loud at even the lowest rpms and forget about rolling the window down once you hit the highway. I get embarrassing stares driving past people. I took it to a mechanic he welded it back to normal, I assumed this was the problem but as soon as I hit the road it rattled of course. So Do I need a new muffler? is it the baffles broke loose that's clanging? It sound like its coming from directly under the passenger side and sounds like I'm dragging tin cans like I just got married. It stops when I'm driving up to around 20 mph but any faster it rattles and I can feel the car vibrating Like crazy Around 40mph I can even feel it under my feet at high speeds. It kinda makes a putting sound too as if the exhaust is coming out in bursts. Plz let me know somethin before I take it to a mechanic and possibly pay out the ass for somethin I know nothing about. Greatly appreciated
