Service AWD

I recently purchased a 2004 Buick Rainier CXL with the 5.3
I got it for a great deal needing some work and I've got most of it done. But the darn service AWD light is still on! I've hooked up my code scanner (BAFx dongle with Dash command pro) and nothing comes up for codes.

Does anyone have recommendations for a code scanner that is capable of handling the AWD system codes?

Also, since there's no selector switch in the cabin, does that mean it's full time AWD, or is it just like having a silverado in "Auto 4wd" mode where it's 2wd until it detects slip then it will engage the front axle?

Thanks!
