Question Exhaust Mods?

Ok who has cut out that huge Muffler and replaced it with a Magnaflow or better flowing muffler? I was looking under the truck this morning and thier is two mufflers on this thing. Just imagine how many ponies you could free up with just a muffler changer and just getting rid of the one right after the rear axle. Anybody done this yet? Sound clips would be nice after it is done also. Thx guys

Would that not make your rear bumper cover look awkward? There is a cut out for the exhaust...

thank you 4DRvette for your picture

there are tons of threads on this site with exaust for the 4.2 trailvoys. the second "muffler" is a resonator. on the 4.2's if you loose the resonator then the exaust sounds strange at about 2200 rpms. its possible that the SS has the same problem. silveradoss.com has some sound clips of their exhaust systems on there - magnaflow, borla, etc... they would be more help in this section since they have 6.0's.

Yea, I would like to see a side exit on a SWB Voy/TB (sorry OurZoo, already have checked yours).

Also, we were getting confused because this thread is in the SS forums, not the regular TB ones, so when people start talking about their regular TB/Voys in an SS thread, people get confused.

No, no, no, not at all. Personally if I had waited I probably would have gotten an EXT version if I could have gotten it into the garage. Not an issue now, RX is in there. (Dang, could of had the V8 )

And, I like any side exits a lot, but I know if I were to get duals, it would dual side exits with Escalade tips. I dont know if they would both be on the same side (single exhaust with dual tips) or opposite each other like you have them. Both look good IMO.

Just rechecked your gallery and I dig the side exits and tips, now that I look again I like it more and more. Might have to go that way.

If you cant tell, I think Im beginning to need an exhaust, as my muffler has a big dent in it and I can start to see black on the outside, so I want to see some side exits on an SWB model to get a better picture about how they would look.
