That looks like an area wide scam from the bottom to top. The way the guy called his District manager and how he didn't say "hey we forgot" but admitted they cheated the customer and got caught. I will say this most service centers are out to do a decent job and keep people happy sad to see a few ruin it.

For those of you not in Cali... that's all in the same district for Jiffy Lube. LOL!

wow that sucks, that is why I always have the mechanics at the dealership my father works for preform all repairs on my car, of course it helps that I get the employee price for the work and parts

That really sucks. I never used JiffyLube but I have used Valvoline and I haven't had problem, I always either stay in the car or as close as I can get without getting in the way so they can get anything past me.

There is absolutely no reason to ever use Jiffy Lube to do anything other than change oil, and even that's a stretch. If you've got an SS, than either step up and pay the Mobil-One shot or do it yourself. Me, personally, I stand next to my truck and watch everything that is being done. If I wasn't there the last oil change, they would have left the engine cover on their rack. Bottom line, most hourly mechanics are not very intelligent people, but we do need them.

See, thats the reason I breathe down their necks while they are doing work to my truck, I always watch everything that is done. I didn't even know that Jiffy Lube did mechanical work, down here, the ones that I have seen only change oil and top off fluids
