Member Spong had a set 4 sale in classifieds. May still be available. Not sure if they are what you are looking for.

I got my set from the dealer (Premium All Weather Ebony w/logo). I think the set has a retail cost of about $118.

I think it's a no-brainer to do a tune to the TBSS.
It seems GM really handicapped the truck from the factory.

Look at the power increase for the small investment.
I would probably do CAI and headers as well.
Put a retune would be a DEFINITE.

No mods needed.
I bought the SS for towing and it’s torque met my needs. I did not want a diesel. I wanted a duel purpose that was easy to get around town and park yet still pull the rig up grades in So. Calif. The Trail Blazer platform is a little small for towing but my race car and trailer are only 5500 lbs. total. When the SS is doing tow chores, I get no complaints from the truck and the ride is very comfortable. When the wife needs to jump in and haul the kids around or go to the grocery store, she can park without taking up 4 spaces. I’ve had the truck 13 months. It has 24K miles. Except for a tranny line that came loose, I’ve had no problems and no urge to mod. Then again, my need for speed is satisfied in a different vehicle

I know this is an old topic but I wonder if ppls opinions have changed since.

The TBSS is no longer made and atleast around here(Northern California)they are not common.

You see regular TB's around all the time but not SS's.

And like the Sy Ty many ppl don't even know that a TB SS was ever made even though they did make more than a syclone/ty.

i actually think that the TBSS has already had its mods from the factory. mine has stock 20"rims, LS2 corvette motor, nav, sunroof...what more can you ask for? I actually want to keep my truck stock too but my husband is a mod king. He mods every car he gets. I like the SS just the way it is.

Agree.

I've had mine since Aug 2011 and have nothing nothing to it but maintance. IMO these trucks were perfect fro mthe factory i wouldn't mine a few lil engine mods here and there but other than that they are beautiful the way they came.
