Bilstien HD Shocks, colors?

So Im looking at the Bilstien HD Shocks and struts and see their ugly blue and yellow...could spray painting it affect the preformance of the shocks? dont know why they are those colors... nasty look on a pewter TB.

haha...I don't see why it would hurt them. I've also got a pewter TB, and also, a set of HD's for the front of my truck sitting in my room till my BDS kit gets here. I thought about painting them, briefly, but I kinda like the fact that it shows that they are a quality shock...that it means something to those who know it when they see it. Besides, you really don't see it that much on the front...but on the back, I guess they're a little more visible, but I'm getting the gas shocks from BDS for the rear.
