Thanks 02Redhawk. The great news is Comp hooked me up and gave me a 921 kit with TI retainers, etc.... Not bad! And despite your generous feedback, I orderd a GT11. I am hoping it will open it up just a bit more. I also like the idea of a slight lope. The stock feel is great but some small lope would be nice too. Besides, Im beyond trying to fool the dealer if something goes wrong!
I know this cam is more aggressive and it should be paired with heads and long tubes so I added those to my Christmas wish list. We shall see but for now, Im gonna go with this setup and if I like it, awesome! If I dont like it, oh well at least I tried and I only put a few more dollars and some sweat equity into it. Everything arrives on Wednesday so I hope to have it installed by EOW and maybe a retune early next week. The 921's should be able to handle the GT11 with no problem.

Ill look into the base circle and see what size it is but I also think I am going to take an adjustable push rod to measure it and see what I come up with. Lingenfelter says the stock 1.400's are just fine. I figure they had the chance to sell me new rods but instead said stock would be fine.

Thanks for the opinions and feedback. Off to the garage I go to see what kind of damage I can do now!

We've all heard the saying "the difference is in the details." Now apply that saying to proper engine setup.

BTW, I know you were concerned with the valvetrain noise of the GT2-3 & 918s. Even with perfect geometry your GT11 and 921s will definitely be making some sewing-machine noises.... Just be prepared & not surprised!

my opinion on this subject is this....If you are goion to spend money like that on a cam and get one that is close to stock specs...which that is....then dont complain about lack of gains....that cam, while good quailty and a step up from the stock one, is not going to skyrocket you numbers, its too mild. If i were going to spend that kind of money, i would be needing the idle raised to 900, nuf said.

Just to update that using GT2-3 increased my rwhp by 26. Granted a bigger cam would gain more and add to the idle speed. My idle is about 650 rpm and 18" vacuum.

Need I really answer this? You should really read the detailed text before you send a rude and incompetent response. Nearly ALL GT2-3 owners have gained around 20RWHP. Mine was 7. That is why I was upset.
