I usually use plus (and it runs fine), but with the gas prices down I've been using premium. When I take long trips I use regular to save money. I'm not running it hard when I'm on the open road and the engine doesn't seem to mind. Overall I get about 14 or so, and have had as good as 17.1 on trips.
Since i drive LONG Distances...Toronto, Detroit, West Palm Beach, Atlanta, I averaged last year over 13mpg.
Around town, where I live, i am getting sometimes less than 10, but around 11. On a recent trip to Detroit this holiday season, I got as high as 17mpg. And, this is ONLY using Super Unleaded.
I noticed initially when I bought my SS, it was sluggish and acceleration was a little lackluster. Mybe it's just perception, but after I began using exclusively 93 octane everything improved.:dielaugh:
MY Drivers Info Center says 11.5 combined and I sometimes do get on it..
Granted I have a Tune, Intake, and Exhuast.
