Front end self destruction! 1x at 120k. 2X at 180k! Use this vehicle regularly for moderate off road and camping. Symptoms start with
after a day of non 4x use, backing out of a parking space things bind up. Stop, put in neutral, pull forward. Still in 2X. Seems clear and free. 1200 miles from home. 200 miles from home. Splines start shearing off half axle. Get off hwy. Slow to 45 on the shoulder of 75 mph. Made it home on a Sunday night late. Repairs really BIG BUCKS at the dealer. Front end ++ rebuilt. 3 months later symptoms recurring. Really? Never used 4X on this trip! Seems to me, maybe, without change of controls, it's trying to engage 4X at speed? Please, I can't be the only one? Thanks
