2004 trailblazer Shifter stuck in park and won't budge, key stuck in ignition

On Friday when I left work in the afternoon I had a little trouble shifting my truck from park to reverse and then into drive. I was on a slightly inclined driveway so I didn't think all that much into it. This morning I went to start my truck to go to work and the key fob wouldn't work as if the battery was dead. I used my key to get in and nothing in the truck was working. I put the key in the ignition and still nothing (battery is new, under a year, terminals are clean just checked). When I went to take the key out it was stuck. I tried to turn the wheels and pull it out and nothing. When I put my foot on the brake and try to move the shifter I get nothing, the knob is stuck and won't press in. Wondering if anyone has any information on what these issues could be. My truck is parked on the street so worried most about getting the key out. I use it mainly as my work truck so hoping it's nothing drastic as I already had to cancel today. Thanks in advance for any help anyone has to offer!

Just an update. I got the key out of the ignition but now you can turn the ignition switch all the ways on without the key in it. Obviously the truck doesn't start but it seemed odd and thought it might help giving more information.
