update...bad news

Roadie you're gonna love this....

Got a call today. The piston and servo replacement did not fix it. They tore it apart and removed all the parts this time. Burnt 2-4 band and scored drum. I called it long before. So original cost estimate and still 3 weeks without my truck.

On the positive: will be ready in 2 days and free rental equinox.

I told them to put in a beefier band if they can order one soon enough to be ready in 2 days (3 week road trip.....need the truck no matter what). They have all the stock parts available.

For this much hassle Id have bought a built trans and never worried about it again.

Oh well, good luck and at least the trans will have a warranty on it for at least 12mo now.
