Yes, someone from the owner website did it, his name is Dave, he's from NJ.
Although, it's not "disconnecting" it so much as removing it and replacing certain parts with the necessary RWD parts. It's about $1k, if I remember correctly.
Our AWD system isn't like the Jeep GC SRT8's. They have a way to actually disconnect their AWD (if I recall corrrectly) without removing any actual hardware from the AWD system itself. That's simply due to their different way of getting AWD. Their system is basically just RWD with a tiny bit of FWD pull, like 5% FWD/95% RWD.
Ours is up to 40% FWD/60%RWD.
Ours you have to remove the actual AWD transfer case and replace the driveline. It makes it RWD, and loses a couple hundred pounds.
