While working in Roanoke I was hit on the ring road of a Mall. She told the police "I was on the phone and wasn't paying attention". WTF.
She wasn't going fast enough to make he Air bags deploy. My truck was towed to a State Farm (her Insurance) repair shop. State Farm gave me a rental to get home and use until my truck was fixed.
Two weeks later I drove to Roanoke to get it. Drove it 275 miles back to Virginia Beach. It drove great. Repair cost was almost $6k.
I noticed some issues with the alignment of the bumper and fender. So I called State Farm. I took it to a Collision Center here in Chesapeake. I'll make a long and sad story short. Bottom line is the frame is bent and "Can't" be straightened. The frame would need to be replaced. The truck is a total loss and can be sold for parts only. I will get almost $12,000 and most of my after market parts thou. I will have a few parts to sell. I had a Borla catback I wish I could pull but I don't have the oem exhaust to put back on or the time to find one.
ps. I'm still driving the truck
until I settle with State Farm.
