Navigation upgrade

Good evening all! I want to upgrade to the navigation system. I've read the post regarding Bose vs. non-Bose, lux, non-lux.

But I am confused on the rpo codes. I have an '05 Traliblazer and my rpo code says UQA which some one said was the equivalent to the y91/92 lux code on the larger trucks. But then he said that this was for 02-04s. Then he said that everything after 04 was non-lux.

Now I've seen a rpo code sheet for my year and it had a rpo code "PDB - Luxury Package".

My questions:
1. Does this mean I have the lux?

2. If not, what is the correct code to identify weather this is non-lux or lux?

3. What is the correct part number to look for the new navigation unit?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I've got an 05 TB that had UQA BOSE NAV as stock equipment. The 05 TB is NOT a "LUX" BOSE system. The original Factory BOSE NAV unit in my truck was part number 15229287. ( Another more common part number for 05'+ TB/Envoy compatible BOSE NAV = 15800000 )

UQA in TB/Envoy = BOSE. (UQA does not = LUX vs. NON-LUX ) LUX BOSE was used in the early TB and Envoy; I always find LUX BOSE amps in 02 & 03's, but heard stories that some 04's were LUX too.

Other GM trucks with BOSE used LUX vs non-LUX for different year ranges than the Trailblazer/Envoy ( Yukon still had LUX in 06' for example ) so stick to searching for the correct non-LUX head-unit part number for your 05'; regardless of what it was pulled from.

Have you found a NAV unit for your truck yet,... or are you still looking ??

Thanks for the response. I had actually found a couple of units but wanted to make sure I had the right info.

I knew I had the Bose system but was unsure of the amp. But I'm glad you clarified it. Now I know which one to get.

I've got a couple,...... 1 with worn buttons and 1 in great shape. ( I converted my non-LUX to LUX last fall ) https://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=206463 ) Send me a PM with an offer for the NAV & any additional info you need if your interested. Good idea to include your ZIP code to so I can use it to get a shipping quote if needed.

P.S. Just got done making a couple plug-&-play AUX-jack cables too; but you've GOT to have XM in order to use it.
