Pre empter install / front dome light removal

I'm installing a dash mount pre empter and want to use the dome light as the trigger to temp disable the strobe when the vehicle is parked at a scene , rather than fumble with a switch.

I can trigger the disable either positive or negative and plan to tap it at the front dome light. How exactly does that housing drop down. I can get the clips from the front down , but the rear doesn't drop and I'm afraid of breaking something . Is there screws for the rear hidden somewhere or is it held in with the spring clips like the front ?

Shouldn't be any screws, I have an SS and mine was just 2 screws and the pop in metal clips in the rear.
