The link in my earlier post is old, but the store is still a good source. I only paid about $260 for mine and that included the plates. The MSRP should include the plates to fill the console and you can get any combo you want as long as they are standard plates. You can vary the sizes and even get the specific plate for a certain piece of equipment. If the source you are checking on insists that is the price without the plates, shop elsewhere.

I just installed the Havis console into my 2008 Trailblazer. Very sad to have to had cut out the stock console but overall I am happy with my install.. I have a Hytera high band radio, Uniden scanner, 8 Realy Whelen Switch and Map Light with a blank plate and 2 Cup Holders for the rear. I did remove rear HVAC and Radio Control.

Can you post up a few pics of your install and maybe a small write up about fit and over all impression? not many pictures of this setup out there...

I enjoy having the console I did not enjoy the work to install it because I had to cut my OEM console. Havis made a preset plate which included a cupholder and cutout for e-brake I removed that and mounted my own plate with Whelen PCC8R Switches and a Maplight. There is a gap now which I am making a custom cover for. I cut less console and pushed Havis console back towards rear more keeping my big cupholder. Inside the console was enough space for my Fuse Block and PCC8R control unit. All wires are ran inside the console which is great keeps it all organized and neat. Still working on little projects but overall I am happy I did it.

Just got a used Havis console from a member here, working on putting it together and installing it, hopefully this month. Slow process and build for me, as I am also incorporating other items in the build (lightbar and main lighting controller system).
Will post pics along the way. Hoping to have it all in before the end of this month!
