Chech Valve on rear washer hose

2006 GMC Envoy

Hello, I didn’t have any washer fluid coming from my rear wiper but I could hear fluid splashing in the lift gate. So I took the panel off and noticed a “valve” of some sorts connected to the washer hose right before it goes outside to the rear wiper. I tested and fluid Is squirting out from this valve. Problem is I can’t find a part number or replacement part for this. Would it be ok to just put a hose connector and use it instead? Or does it need this one way valve to work correctly?

cant post photos as this is my first post.

Don't know why a "valve" would be there. Sure it's not some kind of connector?

Update: it was a one way check valve which you can’t find anywhere. I just got a regular line connector and installed that. It works just fine.
